About Us

When travelers in the 1800s returned from Italy, they brought home an affection for the country villas filled with sunlight and fresh air, aromatic food and flowers. The historic Nims/Wilcox house in the Village of Lexington is such a home -- reminiscent of the Italian country villas which inspired its architectural style.

Built by businessman and State Senator, William Reuben Nims, and later occupied by Dr. George Wilcox, this stately home holds a special place in the history and memories of our village.  Our guest rooms feature queen beds, antiques, ceiling fans, three fireplaces, and private baths.

As the new owners and Innkeepers of Inn the Garden Bed & Breakfast, we invite you to enjoy a continuing tradition of great food and peaceful hospitality.
